Join our army of volunteers helping to end homelessness

Why volunteering matters
The communities we live in depend on each of us supporting one another.
Whether you have shared your skills or your knowledge, some food or your home, we all do our bit to support our family, friends and neighbours.
Volunteers are very important to us at HARP. We rely on the support of over 120 each week (and many more on an ad-hoc basis) to help us deliver our services to those in need within our community.
Some people love to cook and feed, some people love to sort and organise. Maybe you love to drive or you are passionate about fitness?
Whatever you love to do there is a volunteer role for you at HARP.

Volunteer in our services
There are several ways to volunteer in HARP services, and we welcome a diverse range of volunteers each week. Without them, we simply couldn’t operate!

Meet Maggie
Maggie has been volunteering with HARP twice a week for over eight years both in catering and HARP shops. She is well loved by all of the residents at our Vera House service where she prepares meals every week
“I get so much out of my regular volunteering with HARP. I genuinely feel like one of the team and even though people sometimes think that homeless people can be scary, they are kind, respectful and polite to me all of the time. I love it here”.
Meet Stevie
Volunteer Coordinator Stevie supports our volunteers to ensure that every day we are able to run our shops, provide activities and support residents and service users across our sites. Stevie is dedicated to matching each person’s skills with the right role and ensuring every volunteer feels valued.
“Without our volunteers I don’t know how we would be able to deliver the the services and activities that we do, every day”.
